We thought you might like to get to know the Agility Competitors at our club, then you might recognise them at shows. We have broken them down into competition levels for ease. Why not track their success with the Annual Awards page.

Grade 2 Handlers / Dogs

Brave Tyke (aka tiggie, tyke, wiggy)

Tyke

Tyke is working at grade 2 large and is 5 years old. He broke his tibia at 11 weeks old and started agility at 2yrs with Trev and Cathy Candy. He loves bubbles and is scared of pens and cans being opened!! He was bread by a race horse trainer who Rebecca used to work for as a travelling head girl.
The sire was a stud dog from Stillmoore Border Collies which do freestyle and showing.

Rebecca's back ground is horses and gun dogs. She has always been collie mad thanks to her grandad and his wsd's. Rebecca has 3 horses but only for hobby. She works for Karen Marriott at Petnat / Aromesse and has nearly finished a training course in Therapeutic K9 Massage.

Borderstorm Spot On (aka Speckles/Spec)

Speckles works at Grade 2 large and is 2 years old. He is a total mummy's boy and is like velcro. He will do anything for food and has been learning some tricks and dance moves with Lottie (Rebecca's daughter) who is 4 years and wants to do free style!!!!! She is only 4 so we'll let her off for now.

Vitalridge Milly Mermaid (aka Milly)

Milly

Milly is unmeasured but should make large. She is 1 year old and came from Ian and Leanne Wood and Joan Adams. She is very clever but has slight OCD with barking at the other dogs!!! Rebecca was not meant to come home with Milly but as she did not have a home yet, how could she resist! She was nicknamed "billy no mates" which is how "Milly" Mermaid came about!

Milly is currently in her foundation training stage and we look forward to seeing her on the Agility circuit.

Vitalridge The Bumbilatour (aka Bumble)

Bumble

Bumble is the litter sister to Milly and is borderline med/large. The puppy Rebecca picked and was going to be called Lilly, which got changed to Bee by Lottie, then turned in to Bumble Bee and ended up as bum? Bumble is a little mad - she likes to chase flies that she can only just see.

Bumble is also in her foundation training stage and we look forward to seeing her on the Agility circuit.

Moonlight River Roma (aka Moss)

Moss is Rebecca's 12 year old labrador who was trained to pick up. He had a go at agility and still likes to have a go occasionally.

Grade 6 Handlers / Dogs

Detania Rocket Fuel (aka Scotch)
DOB: 06.09.2003
Owned and handled by Julie Chapman
Scotch

Scotch is from Detania Border Collies and is currently working at Grade 6. Detania Border Collies are more known for their success in breeding show dogs but more and more are venturing into agility and doing very well.

Indistorm Warning (aka Oz)
DOB: 10.11.2007
Owned and handled by Julie Chapman

Oz was bred by Sue & Ian Mallabar. Oz's mum (Borderstorm Indi-Go) is a descendant from the well known Borderstorm Border Collies bred by Lisa Adamson one of our club members. Oz is currently following in the footsteps of his extended family and is starting 2011 working at Grade 6.
