Who can gain points?
All members who compete can submit points for any places they gain at Open KC Shows. Separate awards exist for the different grade categories, and a member can only enter one category (usually the lowest for which they are eligible). Points are also awarded across categories for ABC dogs. For previous winners click here. If a member changes category during a points year (Oct to Oct), for example by winning out of Grade 2 etc, they continue to gain points in their original classification for that year.
What points can be gained?
Any place from 1st to 20th can gain points, 1st place gains 20 points, 2nd place 19 points and so on. An unplaced clear round within the course time also gains 1 point. Points can be gained in all classes except for Junior Classes, Pairs, Teams and Limited shows.
How do I gain points?
Points run from October to October each year, and the highest placed handler and dog in each category will be presented with a perpetual trophy at presentation evening. Submit your claims for points to Lisa at Club, or E-Mail them to her by clicking here. Points must be claimed within 1 month of their acquisition.
